Like all our click cork ranges, Montano is a floating floor that installs just like laminate — no adhesive, no specialist fitter required. The planks connect using the UNICLIC click system, making installation straightforward for anyone with laminate fitting experience.

Cork's natural properties make it genuinely different to conventional hard flooring. It's warm and slightly cushioned underfoot, naturally quiet to walk on, and provides good thermal insulation year-round. These aren't just nice-to-haves — they make a real, daily difference to how your home feels.

Which Rooms is Montano Suitable For?

Montano is well suited to bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, studies and home offices. It also performs well in hallways and kitchens in standard residential conditions.

As with all click cork flooring, Montano has an HDF core which can be vulnerable to swelling in sustained high humidity or wet conditions. For this reason, Montano is not recommended for bathrooms. If you need a cork floor for a bathroom or other high-moisture space, our EarthTone Elements or EarthTone glue-down tiles are pure cork construction — no HDF — making them the right choice for those areas.

Is Montano Compatible With Underfloor Heating?

Yes — Montano is fully compatible with underfloor heating. Cork's natural thermal properties work well alongside underfloor heating systems, helping to retain warmth efficiently once up to temperature.

Standard acclimatisation guidelines apply, and we'd always recommend keeping within the floor temperature limits specified by your underfloor heating manufacturer.

Montano vs EarthTone Click — Which is Right For Me?

Both are excellent click cork floors. The honest difference is specification and price:

Montano — 9.5mm thick, 10 year warranty, lower price per m². Ideal for bedrooms, studies, and spaces where you want the natural beauty of cork without the premium price tag.

EarthTone Click — 10.5mm thick, 15 year warranty, higher specification. Better suited to high-traffic areas, hallways and busy family homes where durability and longevity are the priority.

Both offer 12 colour options and use the same UNICLIC installation system, so the choice really comes down to the demands of the space and your budget. Order a sample from each and compare them in your home before deciding.
