Where Can I Install EarthTone Elements Cork Tiles?

EarthTone Elements cork tiles are perfect for use in any dry area of the home and are also suitable for high-moisture environments like bathrooms. Cork’s natural texture, warmth, and resilience make it a practical and environmentally conscious choice for rooms such as hallways, kitchens, lounges, bedrooms, and bathrooms. All tiles are 100% plastic-free and made from sustainable Portuguese cork.

How Do I Install EarthTone Elements Cork Tiles?

EarthTone Elements tiles are installed by gluing them directly to the sub-floor. For best results, ensure the sub-floor is clean, smooth, level, and dry (with a moisture content under 3%). Proper sub-floor preparation is essential, and moisture insulation is required if the floor is not floating or lacks ventilation.

Although the tiles are pre-finished, we recommend applying 1–2 coats of Lobadur Easyfinish varnish after installation to increase durability and seal the joints. Always follow the varnish manufacturer's guidelines for best results.

Allow the adhesive (such as Wakol D3540) to fully cure—typically a minimum of 24 hours—before applying varnish. Drying times may vary depending on conditions. Clean the floor thoroughly before sealing.

How Durable is EarthTone Elements Cork Flooring?

EarthTone Elements tiles are hardwearing and backed by a 10-year domestic warranty (Class 23 – Heavy Domestic Use) and a 5-year commercial warranty (Class 31 – Light Commercial Use).

Where Does Cork Flooring Come From?

Cork flooring is made from the outer bark of the cork oak tree, which regrows naturally after harvesting. Sourced sustainably from Portugal, this process does not harm the tree and can be repeated every nine years. The result is a truly renewable and eco-friendly flooring solution.
